DEVELOPMENT OF THE TRANS-EUROPEAN TRANSPORT NETWORK IN LITHUANIA

Rail Baltica - Railway Warsaw-Tallinn 

According to Albertas Arūna, former Director of Transport Investment Directorate, the main task of the project Rail Baltica is improvement of the Lithuanian railway transport system and its integration into European Transport network.

Only after the implementation of the project Rail Baltica, the European gauge railway will provide a direct connection Warsaw-Kaunas-Riga-Tallinn. Thus, a favourable attitude of all the four countries towards the project is necessary.
